BETTER PLACE TO LIVE FAIR
Saturday 23rd March 2024

Kinross and District Art Club was well represented at the Better Place to Live Fair 2024.
KADAC members put on a fine exhibition of paintings which gave a flavour of the work of the Club and the interests and painting styles of the members. Eight KADAC members were on duty throughout the day, meeting members of the public and answering queries about the Club.

During the Spring 2023, Gillian Ross, KADAC Treasurer, was asked to support P6 school children in drawing and painting indigenous wild flowers for an information board for the village. Gillian was also asked to create 14 flowers for another board. KINROSS PRIMARY SCHOOL
2019 to present day

Picture
KADAC developed a link with the Primary School during 2019. The Headteacher opened the Annual Exhibition and KADAC held an Art competition for the children. Twice after that members visited the school as Artists in Residence. Since Lockdown we have begun to rekindle the Intergenerational Learning experience. At the start of October, nine members visited Kinross Primary in the role of Artists in Residence. In the photo, the children are enjoying painting some of Margaret's butterflies.

KINROSS MEN'S SHED
Spring 2022

Picture
After a request by Kinross Men's Shed, some KADAC members with the support of Community Artist, June McEwen, created a stunning mural in the Men's Shed new premises. Stewart Niven and Greg Drumm painted the majority of the mural with the support of other members. It was wonderful to see two Community groups coming together.
